The children update...

Here is this morning's shot of the baby birds. They no longer sit in the nest, they just rove around the hanging pot. And they now have feathers, so they are much cuter. There is an egg in the nest still--the original eggs were smaller and not speckled, so we are pretty sure some other kind of bird laid that egg.When we walk out the door the momma (or maybe the daddy?) bird goes to a close tree and yells at us. Here is it. It is mostly brown with a red head. The other bird that hangs out by the nest is the same size, but all brown. Anyone know what kind of birds these are?
