I tucked the ring into the bouquet and took some pictures. I thought that was pretty!
Last night I got out the glue gun and some ribbon and flowers and experimented with hair pieces for the wedding. Here Scott models the calla lily headband I created. I'm thinking he should wear it for the wedding!
Scott proposed to me in front of my entire family yesterday afternoon. It was very clever (although I wasn't all that surprised), and very sweet. The above picture is a little fuzzy, but I really like it, so i'm putting it on anyway.
Here is the ring. The big diamond in the middle is actually a solitaire, and that is the engagement part. The blue stones and the baguettes are on a separate band that is a wrap, and will be the wedding band. Good job picking out the ring, Scott!!!

Here we are celebrating New Year's Eve 2002-2003. We were much younger then! Josh looks tiny, and I think Angela is pregnant in this picture!
Last weekend I went with Scott to meet his Grandmother, Mother, and brother in Creston, where his Grandma lives. It was fun to meet them and spend some time getting to know them. In the picture is Lance (Scott's brother), Scott, Me, Diana (Scott's Mom), and his Grandma.
Olivia has now developed a thing for grabbing people's lips...she really enjoyed grabbing mine!
On a side note, Saturday evening we went out to the campground at Lake Keomah outside of Osky, where some friends were camping, for brats and s'mores. I wore my hiking pants, but it was a little warm around the fire. For the first time ever, I made use of the convertible shorts! It was very exciting.
This week Scott and I invited Sarah and Jimmy over to his house for some bbq. I bought country style pork ribs and marinated them in a delicious marinade i got off the internet. Scott cooked them on the charcoal grill and threw some apple wood chips on there for a little extra flavor.
They were so good!!! And they were huge, so you only needed to eat one. I had leftovers for lunch at work and everyone was jealous.
We wanted to take a group picture, but I was too lazy to set up the timer on the camera, so we managed to all squeeze into the frame...

I am currently performing in "The Pirates of Penzance." I auditioned, then met some friends for coffee and persuaded them to audition as well, adn we are all in it!! Above: me, Angela, and Lisa are all daughters. I am Kate, and I even have a couple solos! It is a great show and really funny!
As an also, Jodi was cast as a pirate. A male pirate. I think the beard is very effective...she might even pass the Olympic feminity test!
Here I am with Kaitlin and Jana, also daughters. We wear frilly dresses for the first act and then lovely nightgowns for the whole second act. I still have purple stripes in my short hair, which isn't very period, so I am wearing a wig. It is a little uncomfortable, and HOT! We have finished 2 performances, and have our last 3 this weekend. I am ready for some free time, but I will miss it.
Last week I went to Tucson, AZ, with the Iowa High Performance Volleyball team for the USAV HP Championships. We had 3 teams in different age groups, and they did the best our Iowa teams have ever done! Our two youngest teams both got silver medals, and the oldest team beat out 2 USA teams and all the international teams to come in 4th.
Here I am walking to the hotel from the convention center. It was freezing in the convention center, but about 100 degrees outside, so it was always a shock to go from one to the other. I spent most of my time in the gym watching volleyball...
...But we did get to take a group trip to the Reid Park Zoo. 
I saw an in-n-out from the window of the charter bus, and tried to get everyone to stop and eat there, but those crazy people wouldn't do it!! So I just took a picture and drooled for a bit.
The GSEL girls were very good about lining up their matching backpacks while they were playing.
