Tulip Time & Garage Sale

Now, I realize that Tulip Time was over a month ago, but this is the first chance I've had to get pictures off Scott's camera and update the blog. So here we go! We only went to Pella for one day of Tulip Time, but we made it through 2 parades, the craft show, a huge rain shower, and even a little sundburn in one afternoon. Here Rhea and Uncle Scott watch the afternoon parade:

Scott and I at the windmill--our first Tulip Time as a married couple. Ahhhhhh...
Now to our yard sale that took place on May 30. We had a ton of stuff! We sold the house the night before, so at the last minute put out the sofa, desk, a chair, and a couple other pieces of large furniture that we no longer needed to keep the house look good for showing. The big table in this picture is just kitchen stuff! We had about 3 more tables, some clothes, and furniture that you can't see in this picture.
Mom came and brought Emily and Abby to help out:

Wait! Abby's not helping! She's laying around on the sale items!

At the end of the day, the tables are starting to look bare! We brought pretty much everything that was left to Goodwill--two carloads!

The next day we cleaned some stuff out of my house, and decided to get the big freezer over. It was a little heavier than we thought, and we decided NOT to try to bring it down to the basement. Instead, we cleared some room in the side porch area--and there is a door into the house right there!

On the side porch, snug as a bug. It fit just right! We managed to carry it in just the two of us, but just barely. If it had been 2 pounds heavier, we would have had to find more friends to carry!
